WHAT IS PROPER YOGA ETIQUETTE?
Please be considerate of those in class by conversing quietly while in the lobby. We have cubbies for keys and shoes which should be removed before walking onto the studio floor. Turn cell phones to SILENT. Questions are always welcome before or after class and not during in consideration of those focused and centered during their practice.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR ?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to kneel, squat, and bend forward without restriction. Avoid loose T-shirts or pants that are tight around your waist.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
We provide all the yoga props that you may need. You will need to bring your own yoga mat. We have extra mats for those who have yet to buy a mat, are not sure what type of mat to buy, or in case you forget to bring yours.
WHAT IF I'M STIFF AND OUT OF SHAPE?
Being stiff and out of shape is the reason most people start practicing yoga. Start with a beginning level class.
We practice the basic postures, step-by-step instruction, and give personal help to each individual.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I ATTEND YOGA CLASS?
Ideally two times a week, especially for the first two months. If you can only come once a week, we will give you instructions for some simple stretches to do between classes.
WHAT IF I'VE HAD AN INJURY OR RECENT SURGERY?
This would greatly aid in your recovery and works exceedingly well with physical therapy. Make sure you have been cleared to resume physical activity.
